In order to improve the safety of footwear products and protect the health and safety of consumers, the General Administration of Market Supervision (State Standards Committee) revised and released the mandatory national standard for footwear GB25038-2024 "Footwear General Safety Requirements".
The new version will replace GB30585-2014 "Rubber shoes health and safety Technical specifications" officially implemented on June 1, 2025. The new standard replaces GB 25038-2010 "rubber shoes health and safety Technical specification" and integrates GB 21536-2008 "Athletics sports shoes" and GB 25037-2010 "industrial and mining boots" related content. Compared with GB 25038-2010, the main changes in the standard are as follows:
01 Application scope of the standard
The scope of application of the standard is modified from "suitable for rubber shoes produced by thermal vulcanization process with synthetic leather, artificial leather and textile materials as upper materials" to "suitable for footwear products made of various materials", and the standard range is wider.
02 Physical Properties
(1) New control requirements for nail tips and broken needles
(2) The color fastness of the inner and inner soles of the shoes is deleted
